Customer Purchase & Return Policy
Governing Terms for All Sweat Kingdom Saunas Transactions
Given the substantial size and specialized shipping requirements inherent to sauna products, Sweat Kingdom Saunas has established the policies outlined below to govern all return, cancellation, and refund requests. These terms operate independently of and do not supersede the Sweat Kingdom Saunas Limited Warranty, under which all warranty-related matters are handled separately.
1. Home Trial Period (30 Days)
Every sauna purchase from Sweat Kingdom Saunas includes a 30-day home trial, beginning on the date your unit is delivered. This window gives you adequate time to set up and experience your sauna before committing to keep it. Should you decide the product is not right for you, a return may be initiated provided all of the following criteria are met.
Qualifying Conditions for Return
- Your return request must be submitted no later than 30 days after the confirmed delivery date.
- The unit must be in acceptable condition, with no damage beyond what would be expected from reasonable use.
- The sauna must be taken apart and re-packed in the original manufacturer’s packaging, including any pallet it arrived on.
- Every component, accessory, and piece of original packaging must be present and accounted for.
Your Responsibility for Return Shipping
The cost of return freight is the customer’s responsibility. Depending on your location and the size of the unit, these costs generally fall between $750 and $1,500, except where prohibited by law. Any expenses tied to disconnecting a traditional heater prior to return are likewise the customer’s responsibility.
Inspection & Refund Adjustments
- Every returned unit undergoes a thorough inspection once it reaches our facility.
- If the product arrives damaged, missing parts, or improperly packaged, your refund amount may be reduced or rejected entirely.
- Units that have been heavily used, structurally damaged, altered without authorization, or not kept in reasonably good condition throughout the trial window may be deemed ineligible for return.
2. Trial Returns vs. Warranty Claims
A return initiated during the 30-day trial period and a warranty claim are two distinct processes and are handled independently of one another. Should a product issue arise that is determined to stem from a manufacturing defect, that matter will be directed through the Limited Warranty process and addressed via repair or replacement — not a refund or return under the trial policy.
3. Canceling an Order
If you need to cancel your order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Cancellations are only accepted before an order has been dispatched. When a valid pre-shipment cancellation is processed, the refund issued may be reduced by:
- Transaction processing fees, capped at 4.5% of the purchase total
- Administrative handling costs, capped at $750
- Any additional non-refundable costs already incurred in connection with your order
Orders that have already entered the fulfillment or shipping process cannot be canceled.
4. Damage During Transit
We ask that all customers carefully examine the condition of their delivery before signing for it. It is not unusual for the outer boxes to show some wear after a long-distance freight shipment — scuffs or dents in the cardboard do not always mean the sauna inside has been affected.
Steps to Take if Damage Is Observed
If you observe physical damage to the sauna unit itself at the time of delivery, you must take the following steps immediately:
- Write “damaged” clearly on the delivery receipt before you sign.
- Take clear photographs of both the outer packaging and the affected areas of the sauna.
- Contact Sweat Kingdom Saunas within 48 hours of delivery and submit your photos to [EMAIL].
Claims not reported within this 48-hour timeframe may compromise our ability to pursue a claim with the freight carrier on your behalf. Transit damage is treated separately from product defects and is not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Any customer-requested changes to delivery scheduling, redelivery arrangements, or special handling after an order has shipped may result in additional charges billed to the customer.
5. Manufacturing Defects
If you suspect your product has a manufacturing defect, you are required to open a formal Warranty Claim rather than requesting a return. A suspected defect alone does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund or replacement — each case will be reviewed and resolved in accordance with the terms of the Limited Warranty.
Our support team is equipped to resolve the majority of product concerns remotely through troubleshooting, technical guidance, or assistance with alternative heating configurations — often without any need to ship the unit back.
In cases where a defect is verified and a return or replacement is approved, the available remedies are limited to repair, replacement, or reimbursement for the product itself. Sweat Kingdom Saunas will not assume financial responsibility for any secondary costs the customer may have incurred, including:
- Electrical installation, wiring work, or circuitry upgrades
- Setup or removal of supplemental heating equipment
- Any professional labor, installation, or contractor charges whatsoever
6. Items That Cannot Be Returned
Certain products and circumstances fall outside the scope of our return program. The following are not eligible for return:
- Units that qualify for service or repair under the Limited Warranty
- Saunas that have already been assembled or permanently installed
- Any product that bears visible evidence of use
- Products returned without their original packaging
- Items that sustained damage following delivery
- Discounted, clearance, or final-sale merchandise, except where a confirmed defect exists
7. How Refunds Are Issued
Once a return has been reviewed and a refund authorized, payment will be returned to the original method used at checkout. The timeline for funds to appear may vary based on your bank or payment provider. All returned units are subject to inspection prior to any refund being finalized.
